Available Positions in Operations, Maintenance, and Guest Services

We are currently seeking 21 talented individuals to fill a variety of roles. We offer a dynamic and rewarding work environment where you can contribute to the success of a global icon.

Labour and Maintenance Positions (13)

1. HVAC Technician

Position Overview: Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the mall’s extensive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure a comfortable environment for all visitors and tenants.

Key Responsibilities - HVAC Technician:

Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and fan coil units (FCUs). Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HVAC systems and controls. Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Respond to and resolve HVAC-related complaints from tenants. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

2. Electrician

Position Overview: Install, maintain, and repair all electrical systems and equipment within the mall, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities - Electrician:

Inspect and test electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency generators. Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in wiring, fixtures, and control systems. Install new electrical wiring and equipment for new tenants or mall renovations. Perform preventive maintenance on switchgear, transformers, and other electrical infrastructure. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with local electrical codes.

3. Plumber

Position Overview: Maintain and repair all plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary fixtures, throughout the mall and its attractions.

Key Responsibilities - Plumber:

Install and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, and drainage systems. Respond to plumbing emergencies, such as leaks and blockages, in a timely manner. Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, water heaters, and filtration systems. Ensure the proper functioning of all public restrooms and water features. Maintain the specialized plumbing systems for the Dubai Aquarium.

4. General Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: A multi-skilled technician responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the mall.

Key Responsibilities - General Maintenance Technician:

Perform minor carpentry, painting, and masonry repairs. Repair and maintain doors, windows, and other building hardware. Assemble and install furniture and fixtures. Conduct regular inspections of common areas to identify and resolve any maintenance issues. Assist other trade technicians as needed.

5. Facilities Supervisor

Position Overview: Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate the day-to-day facilities management activities within a specific zone of the mall.

Key Responsibilities - Facilities Supervisor:

Assign and schedule work orders for the maintenance team. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards. Train and mentor new technicians. Manage inventory of spare parts and materials. Liaise with tenants to address their maintenance requests and concerns. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures.

6. BMS Operator

Position Overview: Monitor and control the mall’s Building Management System (BMS) to ensure the efficient operation of all mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities - BMS Operator:

Continuously monitor the BMS for alarms and system failures. Adjust setpoints and schedules to optimize energy consumption while maintaining comfort levels. Generate reports on system performance and energy usage. Coordinate with maintenance teams to respond to BMS-related issues. Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing system problems.

7. Fire Alarm Technician

Position Overview: Inspect, test, and maintain the mall’s extensive fire alarm and detection systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with civil defense regulations.

Key Responsibilities - Fire Alarm Technician:

Perform regular inspections and functional tests of all fire alarm panels, detectors, and notification devices. Troubleshoot and repair faults in the fire alarm system. Maintain accurate records of all testing and maintenance activities. Coordinate with the civil defense authorities for inspections and drills. Ensure the system is always in a state of readiness.

8. Elevator and Escalator Technician

Position Overview: A specialized technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of all elevators, escalators, and moving walkways within the mall.

Key Responsibilities - Elevator and Escalator Technician:

Perform preventive maintenance tasks as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. Respond to and resolve any breakdowns or entrapments in a safe and timely manner. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults. Conduct safety inspections and tests. Maintain a log of all maintenance and repair activities.

9. Water Feature Technician

Position Overview: Maintain and operate the numerous indoor and outdoor water features within the mall, including the iconic Dubai Fountain.

Key Responsibilities - Water Feature Technician:

Monitor and maintain water quality, including chemical balancing and filtration. Inspect and repair pumps, nozzles, and lighting systems. Clean and remove debris from water features. Operate the control systems for choreographed fountain shows. Ensure all water features are operating safely and efficiently.

10. Cleaning Operative

Position Overview: Part of a large team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the mall’s public areas.

Key Responsibilities - Cleaning Operative:

Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors. Clean and sanitize public restrooms. Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal. Operate cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and polishers. Respond to cleaning requests and spills promptly.

11. Pest Control Technician

Position Overview: Implement and manage the mall’s integrated pest management program to ensure a pest-free environment.

Key Responsibilities - Pest Control Technician:

Conduct regular inspections to identify and monitor pest activity. Apply appropriate pest control treatments in a safe and effective manner. Maintain records of all pest control activities. Advise tenants on best practices for pest prevention. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

12. Landscaping and Horticulture Technician

Position Overview: Maintain all indoor and outdoor landscaping, including plants, trees, and green walls, to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the mall.

Key Responsibilities - Landscaping and Horticulture Technician:

Water, prune, and fertilize all plants and trees. Monitor for and treat any plant diseases or pests. Install new plantings and seasonal displays. Maintain irrigation systems. Ensure all landscaped areas are clean and well-maintained.

13. Waste Management Coordinator

Position Overview: Oversee the mall’s waste management and recycling program to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible disposal of all waste.

Key Responsibilities - Waste Management Coordinator:

Coordinate the collection and segregation of waste from all tenants and common areas. Manage the operation of the mall’s waste management facility, including compactors and balers. Monitor recycling rates and implement initiatives to increase them. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations. Liaise with waste management contractors.

Other Positions (8)

14. Guest Services Ambassador

Position Overview: Provide exceptional customer service to all mall visitors, acting as a primary point of contact for information and assistance.

Key Responsibilities - Guest Services Ambassador:

Welcome guests to the mall and provide them with information on stores, attractions, and events. Assist with services such as wheelchair and stroller rentals, gift card sales, and lost and found inquiries. Handle customer feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all mall facilities and services. Proactively approach and assist guests who appear to need help.

15. Security Officer

Position Overview: Ensure the safety and security of all visitors, tenants, and staff by patrolling the mall and responding to any security incidents.

Key Responsibilities - Security Officer:

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect any security threats. Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems. Respond to alarms and emergency situations, such as medical incidents or fire alarms. Assist with crowd control during peak times and special events. Write detailed incident reports.

16. Retail Tenant Relations Coordinator

Position Overview: Act as the primary liaison between the mall management and the retail tenants, ensuring a strong and positive working relationship.

Key Responsibilities - Retail Tenant Relations Coordinator:

Conduct regular visits to all tenants to discuss their operational needs and concerns. Communicate mall policies, procedures, and marketing initiatives to tenants. Assist new tenants with the fit-out and opening process. Collect and analyze sales data from tenants. Mediate and resolve any disputes between tenants or between tenants and the mall management.

17. Marketing and Events Executive

Position Overview: Plan and execute a variety of marketing campaigns and events to drive footfall and enhance the mall’s brand image.

Key Responsibilities - Marketing and Events Executive:

Develop and implement marketing strategies for seasonal campaigns and special events. Coordinate all aspects of event management, from booking entertainment to managing logistics. Liaise with creative agencies and media partners. Manage the mall’s social media channels and digital marketing efforts. Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

18. Leasing Executive

Position Overview: Responsible for leasing retail space within the mall to new and existing tenants, ensuring an optimal and profitable tenant mix.

Key Responsibilities - Leasing Executive:

Identify and target potential new tenants that align with the mall’s leasing strategy. Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants. Prepare and execute lease agreements. Maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to encourage lease renewals. Stay up-to-date with retail market trends.

19. IT Support Technician

Position Overview: Provide technical support to the mall management office and ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including networks, servers, and user devices.

Key Responsibilities - IT Support Technician:
