About Brødrene Hartmann A/S
Brødrene Hartmann A/S is a global icon in the packaging industry, with a legacy of innovation and sustainability that stretches back over a century. Founded in 1917 in Denmark by the three Hartmann brothers, the company has evolved from a local paper bag plant into the world's leading manufacturer of moulded-fibre packaging. With our headquarters in Gentofte, Denmark, we are proud of our Danish roots and our global reach, which extends to 18 factories across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Our team of over 3,000 dedicated employees worldwide is the driving force behind our success, and we are now seeking to expand our talented team in Denmark.
Our core business is the development, production, and sale of recyclable moulded-fibre packaging, primarily for eggs and fruit. We are a company built on the principles of the circular economy. Our products are made from 100% recycled paper, a renewable resource, and are themselves biodegradable and recyclable. This commitment to sustainability is not just a part of our business model; it is our business model. We are proud to be a key contributor to a more sustainable world, and we are constantly seeking new ways to reduce our environmental footprint. Our ambitious goal is to reduce our CO2e emissions by 50% by 2030, and we are investing heavily in renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies to achieve this.
Hartmann is not only a leader in packaging production but also in the technology behind it. We are the world's largest manufacturer of the machinery used to produce moulded-fibre packaging. This unique technological know-how, gained from over 85 years of experience in moulded-fibre production, gives us a significant competitive advantage and allows us to continuously innovate and improve our processes. Our history of innovation includes groundbreaking products like the Plus Pack™, the first egg carton to feature a label, and the imagic® and imagic²® cartons, which revolutionized the industry with their high-visibility designs and increased advertising space.
Our customers range from local egg and fruit producers to major international retail chains. We work in close partnership with them to provide not only high-quality packaging but also expertise in branding and marketing their products. Our strong market position is built on these long-term relationships and our ability to deliver customized solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients. With a market-leading position in Europe and South America, and a growing presence in North America and Asia, Hartmann is a truly global player with a local touch.
