We are currently seeking 13 dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. 1. Welder
Key Responsibilities - Welder:
Perform welding on various railcar components and assembliesFollow blueprints and welding process specifications
Ensure all welds meet quality standards and inspection requirements
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Qualifications: CWB certification in FCAW and/or GMAW processes; experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
2. Fitter
Key Responsibilities - Fitter:
Assemble and fit prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or complete railcarsRead and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Use hand and power tools to shape and fit components
Work with welders to ensure proper fit-up and alignment
Qualifications: Experience as a fitter or assembler in a heavy manufacturing setting; strong blueprint reading skills.
3. Industrial Electrician
Key Responsibilities - Industrial Electrician:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in the plantTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems
Ensure compliance with all electrical codes and safety regulations
Qualifications: Licensed 309A or 442A Industrial Electrician; experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
4. Millwright
Key Responsibilities - Millwright:
Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
Qualifications: Licensed 433A Industrial Millwright; experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
5. Machinist
Key Responsibilities - Machinist:
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision partsRead and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Use precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards
Perform routine maintenance on machines
Qualifications: Certified Machinist or equivalent experience; proficiency with lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools.
6. Painter
Key Responsibilities - Painter:
Prepare surfaces and apply paint to railcars and componentsOperate and maintain painting equipment
Ensure all painting meets quality and customer specifications
Follow all safety procedures for handling and applying paint
Qualifications: Experience as an industrial painter; knowledge of paint application techniques and equipment.
7. Blaster
Key Responsibilities - Blaster:
Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for paintingEnsure all surfaces are prepared to the required specifications
Maintain and troubleshoot blasting equipment
Follow all safety procedures for blasting operations
Qualifications: Experience as a blaster or sandblaster in an industrial setting; knowledge of different blasting media and techniques.
8. Crane Operator
Key Responsibilities - Crane Operator:
Operate overhead cranes to lift and move materials and componentsFollow all safety procedures for crane operation
Perform daily inspections of cranes and rigging equipment
Work with riggers and other team members to ensure safe and efficient lifts
Qualifications: Certified Crane Operator or equivalent experience; experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment.
9. Material Handler
Key Responsibilities - Material Handler:
Move materials and components to and from production areasOperate forklifts and other material handling equipment
Load and unload trucks and railcars
Maintain accurate inventory records
Qualifications: Forklift certification and experience; experience in a shipping, receiving, or material handling role.
10. Quality Inspector
Key Responsibilities - Quality Inspector:
Inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standardsUse a variety of measuring and testing equipment
Document inspection results and report any non-conformances
Work with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
Qualifications: Experience in a quality control or inspection role; strong attention to detail and knowledge of quality standards.
11. Maintenance Mechanic
Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Mechanic:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of plant equipmentTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and equipment problems
Assist with the installation of new equipment
Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications: Experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting; strong mechanical aptitude.
12. General Labourer
Key Responsibilities - General Labourer:
Assist with various tasks throughout the plant as neededClean and maintain work areas
Support production and maintenance teams
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Qualifications: Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset; ability to perform physically demanding work.
13. Shipper/Receiver
Key Responsibilities - Shipper/Receiver:
Prepare and package finished products for shipmentLoad and unload trucks and railcars
Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
Qualifications: Experience in a shipping and receiving role; knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
